Dear visitor,

Welcome on the website dedicated to the 3^rd EFFAT Congress which took place in Berlin on 20 and 21 October 2009. All the political documents and photos of the event are available here.

At the Congress, over 300 members representing our national affiliates, elected Bruno VANNONI as EFFAT President, Therese HULTEN as Deputy President and re-elected Harald WIEDENHOFER as General Secretary for another 5 years. They have been given a mandate in a period of economic crisis and restructuring, and thus in which we must strengthen our forces once again to fight for a better Europe.

All workers, from farm to fork face difficult challenges. We need a European pact for the future, aimed at creating jobs and promoting employment. All EU initiatives must be reviewed to gauge their stimulating effect on employment. Under the theme: "Social Justice from Farm to Fork-Fight Precarious Work!" EFFAT has adopted its Charter against precarious work, which can be downloaded from below.
